But my sisters threw me a shower the end of February. It was mostly family but a few friends showed up. It was a lot of fun. I did however get put on the spot to tell everyone about Jason... since they all haven't met him. I get a little tongue-tied sometimes and the I said that the thing that I liked best about Jason was his chicken legs... I'm such a goober! But I think I survived.
We had a "pinkies up" policy at the shower whenever you would take a sip from your glass because we were dignified ladies!

It was a lot of fun though. The people brought recipes that they liked, so I'm excited that I'll get to try out a lot of new recipes. Consequently though, a lot of the gifts were kitchen themed, too. I really look forward to trying all the gadgets and accessories I got. Very fun!
Then this last Friday, the Logan Library gave me a shower, too. It was nice to hang out with my fellow co-workers, and I don't think we talked about books once! But there was a lot of fun things I got. Thanks to all, it was a really enjoyable night. I really enjoyed an apron that my friend Allison made me.

But the true starlet of the party was Eliza, better known as "The Child." She was sqwakin' and talkin' like no other. Super cute, though!

And now the part we've all been waiting for! BRIDALS! So then next day, Saturday, I went down to SLC and had my bridals at Gardner Village. I was a little unsure of the location. I'd only been there once and it was a LONG time ago. And it mostly involved walking around and shopping... Let's say I was a little hesitant. But luckily I agreed to go here, it was super cute! My sister Susie helped me with my hair and... yes make-up. But Susie came, my sister-in-law Liane, and my mom. The photographer was super and nice and really fun. I'm excited to see the real shots. But Susie shot some amateur shots... so really I think we are in good hands if Susie's photos look good too!

So I ended up using my sister Lillie's dress. I really didn't want to worry about buying a new one that will never be worn again... so that $500 saved! But I think it works nicely, don't you? My mom did a lot of work to get it ready so she did a fabulous job! Ok, it was mostly hemming the dress cos I'm just blessed with so much height :) But I really like the dress and how it turned out.

Now for all of you wondering what I decided for the shoes... here's the big unveiling! Yep, you guess it! Blue Chucks. My new ones hadn't come yet in the mail so I just had to make do with the old ones I had. I tried cleaning them up a bit before hand... but I think its a fun look.
But, overall, things are slowly coming together. And I bet the next time I see you all will be for the wedding. So let's hope all goes well!

love your choice of footwear! beautiful bridal pics.
Your pictures look wonderful! I am so sad I won't be able to make it to the wedding. I keep thinking of you though, if that counts.
Love the Blue Chucks...perfect choice for you!
You look cute in anything you wear. I really do like the Blue Chucks cause that's you're personality... that's you! We're very excited for you and your hubby's big day to come.
The girls were not aware that you were wearing the "sneakers" as they call them. I don't know if they are appalled or just in shock that a bride would wear such things on her feet for the wedding. :) I think they are getting used to the idea. But Erin keeps asking "Is she really going to wear those "sneakers"?" I love them, and deep down I know they do as well.
