One Project Down...

So I finally decided to make something baby-wise. Nothing fancy, but i sure do like it.

Pretty sure it doesn't give away any hints as to what the baby will be... especially since we don't know yet either.

But I think it will be good for either a boy or a girl.

A Random July Post with Updates of my Life

I'm getting pretty bad at blogging these days. Seems I need to make new treats to blog about.

Looks like I'm going to have to go back in the archives to see what I haven't blogged about yet...

Let's start with the food...

Here are some little tasties made last year... I know, I know I should have posted them sooner to tempt you all to come visit me sooner, but that's my own fault.

The 2 types of doughnuts are:
1) Apple pie filled with a crumble top. It was really, really good.
2) White creme filled with white powder on top. This is Jason's favorite kind of doughnut from Dunkin' Donut. I think piping the filling is a little harder than I thought it would be... we will have to working this.

The delicious pie you see is a apple tangerine pie. It had just enough spice in it to make it perfect for Fall (hence the little leaf on there).

Now for birthdays in a collage... easy and quick without all the boring details!

This was Jason's birthday. We roasted a pork loin on the barbecue (which was really good) and had some roasted vegetables and potatoes to go with it. Of course, I can't get away from making a mess on myself so please note the BBQ sauce all down my front.

To finish the meal we made a cookies n' creme cake for Jason. It was a good idea.

Next my birthday.

Pizza on the grill. May sound silly, but really good.

And Smores cupcakes. Yum, yum!

In between Jason and mine's birthdays we did a little jaunt to Utah. I got to see a lot of people, and some of them were for the first time.

Here's the over view:

We saw Jason's family and celebrated birthdays with Angry Birds. Our nephew Nate is obsessed with Angry Birds.

I got to see an old friend Trista that I hadn't seen for FOREVER.

We visited up in Morgan and got to see baby Megan for the first time.

We also stopped in Clinton and saw baby Danny, too.

Susie was kind enough to clean us up and give us both hair cuts. She does good things.

And we got to see little Miss Kamora.

Angelic took us out for pizza.

Overall, I'd say it was a successful trip.

So as for recently... hmm... I made a delicious bumble berry pie for the 4th of July.

Its an assortment of blueberry, blackberry, strawberry, apples and rhubarb.
Its really good if you haven't tried a slice before... and if you give me enough warning, if you come and visit I might just make you one, too.  :)

It doesn't really seem like I have been much in a crafty mood for the past year. Maybe nothing has inspired me.

But I just recently finish a project and here's the finished look:

You'll have to let me know what you guys think...
